Amanda

Dental Assistant

As a dental assistant, Amanda plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth flow of procedures, from preparing rooms to making retainers and temporary crowns. Amanda also assists with X-rays, performs in-house whitening treatments, and handles various administrative tasks such as ordering supplies and compiling patient data.

With a background in health, physical education, and exercise science, Amanda holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. During her time at VCU, she gained valuable experience through an internship at an orthodontics office.

Amanda's favorite part of her job is the continuous learning experience alongside Dr. Grover and the opportunity to build relationships with patients. She appreciates Dr. Grover's patience and expertise, as well as the supportive and enjoyable atmosphere among the team members.

Outside of work, Amanda enjoys attending concerts and even designs hair clips for those events. She is also passionate about creating unique nail designs. In her personal life, she shares her home with a beloved pet dog named Rambo.


Anne

Dental Hygienist

Anne evaluates patients' overall health, reviews their medical history, and addresses their periodontal and restorative needs. Beginning her dental career in 1989, Anne earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Iowa State University in 1988. She then pursued her passion for dental hygiene, graduating from the Northern Virginia Community College Dental Hygiene Program in 1994 with an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science.

Anne finds her profession incredibly rewarding, taking pride in guiding her patients toward good oral health and overall wellness. She considers it gratifying to be a part of her patients' individual journeys toward optimum dental health.

Outside of work, Anne has been an active volunteer in the Alexandria community since 1993, particularly with The Campagna Center. She has held numerous fundraising and board positions and received recognition for her leadership and personal dedication to the center's mission. Anne enjoys an active lifestyle, including travel, running, biking, attending concerts, exploring museums, and participating in local community events. She has completed six Marine Corps Marathons and is eagerly training for her Lucky #7 marathon scheduled for fall 2023.


Bela

Dental Assistant

Bela is a dedicated dental assistant at Clarendon Dental Arts, contributing to the smooth operation of procedures and providing essential support to patients. Her responsibilities include preparing rooms, making retainers, taking impressions, handling temporary crowns, ordering supplies, systemizing patient and laboratory data, taking X-rays, performing in-house whitening treatments, charting, scanning with iTero®, and more.

The supportive and caring atmosphere of the office is what Bela loves most. Everyone looks out for each other, creating a dependable and enriching work environment.

In her downtime, Bela indulges in the joy of relaxation, listening to all kinds of music, and studying. She values her connections with her siblings, cherishing the moments they get to talk and engaging in video game sessions with her younger brother. Bela also has an inquisitive nature, constantly researching the unknown, and feeding her thirst for knowledge through biology podcasts, college classes and extensive reading.


Chiqui

Patient Liaison

Chiqui serves as a dedicated patient liaison at Clarendon Dental Arts, focusing on writing treatment plans, following up with patients, scheduling, and handling office duties. With a background in retail management and visual merchandising, she smoothly transitioned to a career in the dental field this year, leveraging her customer service skills to excel in her new role.

For Chiqui, the most fulfilling aspect of her job is witnessing patients leave the office with happiness and renewed confidence after their procedures. She finds joy in seeing them return, connecting with their lives, and witnessing the transformative power of a confident smile.

Outside of work, Chiqui shares her home with her beloved dog, Toby, a West Highland white terrier. She enjoys spending time cooking and curating meal prep ideas. During the summer months, Chiqui embraces the outdoors, playing golf and honing her swing. She also has a passion for travel, seeking opportunities to explore new places, meet people, and learn about their lifestyles. Regular visits to her parents' beachfront home in Lewes, DE, add an extra touch of relaxation to her life.


Michelle

Patient Liaison

Michelle, as a dedicated patient liaison, ensures that every patient has an exceptional visit each and every time at Clarendon Dental Arts. With extensive experience in the dental field, Michelle began her journey in 2004 and has since been devoted to creating a comfortable and positive experience for all patients.

Michelle's passion lies in building lasting relationships with her patients, who become like family to her. She takes pride in providing exceptional care and making sure that even the most apprehensive patients feel at ease during their visits.

Outside of work, Michelle's personal life revolves around her husband Joe and their three daughters who grew up attending Arlington County Schools. Originally from London, Michelle moved to Arlington in 1992. She enjoys traveling, entertaining, cooking, and indulging her passion for interior decorating.
